]]> Tanzania Network of Legal Aid Providers(TANLAP) held a meeting with the Parliamentary committee on legal and constitutional issues on the status of the implementation of the Legal Aid Act for the year 2017.

And on this meeting the Tanzania Women Lawyers Association (TAWLA) participated as one of the members of the network who have been working closely on the implementation of the Legal Aid Act, 2017.

]]> TAWLA’s regional coordinator in Tanga participated in a meeting hosted by the Ministry of Constitution and Legal Affairs which focused on the committees that coordinate legal support and review of legal aid providers in Tanga.

The meeting agenda was to coordinate the legal aid committee for the Tanga region and develop a plan of action for the legal aid committee by 2020/2021.

The meeting was attended by the Minister of Constitution and Legal Affairs, Dr. Mwigulu Nchemba together with his Secretary and the Director of legal aid providers in Tanzania where TAWLA was appointed to hold the position of the deputy chairperson of the committee at the Regional level.
